THE ROLLING CLONES

THE ULTIMATE ROLLING STONES TRIBUTE SHOW

Keith Richards cannot be killed by conventional weapons” – Del Preston, Wayne’s World 2.

We’re choosing to believe this is true. How else could you explain the fact that despite almost 60 years of death, drugs and falling out of coconut trees the greatest show on earth is still on the road?

Formed in 1997, The Rolling Clones have been entertaining crowds across the World for almost 25 years, distilling the show down to a pure hit of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

They are, without doubt, the finest Rolling Stones tribute show in the world today.

The Rolling Clones
A tribute to Charlie Watts from our drummer, Gary Bentley:I have now had the pleasure of playing drums in the Rolling Clones for over 6 years, so it seemed fitting that I should pay my own small tribute to Charlie, and explain why he was without doubt the only man for the job.Charlie was not well known for his blisteringly fast drum fills or famous solos (there are many other fantastic drummers to put on that list). Instead he will be remembered as the guy that kept together the Greatest Rock n Roll band on Earth. He was happy to firmly hold the reigns at the back, allowing the Holy Trinity of Mick, Keith and Ronnie showboat superbly at the front.Charlie was the kind of drummer who always 'played the song', coming up with so many iconic beats, mastering the sometimes underrated skill - knowing what to leave out as well as what to put in. Absolutely essential for a great band! As with many drummers of his generation he had an early love of Jazz and Blues, and was able to firmly inject these influences into the veins of Rock n Roll. No matter what Charlie played, it always had a slight swing and swagger that perfectly complemented the jagged and rhythmical riffs of both Keith and Ronnie. An absolute iconic figure within the History of Rock n Roll, and by all accounts a true gentleman.RIP Charlie Watts ...
